Urban Fringe (UF) Developments Ltd is a land and residential development company formed with a vision to establish Bethune as a thriving community for Rural Living by delivering on our mission of bringing to market affordable rural living that is on the commuter fringe of Regina and Moose Jaw.


who we are

The land under development has been in the Riche Family since the early 1940’s with a vision of a residential development and the growth of Bethune.


In 2007 Phase 1 was initiated and in early 2014 Phase 2 was sold out. Phase 3 has been initiated under Urban Fringe Developments Ltd.

about bethune

The vibrant village of Bethune is located approximately 56 km northwest of Regina along the Louis Riel Trail (Highway 11) in the RM of Dufferin #190 and 65km Northeast of Moose Jaw.


Bethune is home to approximately 400 residents and is nestled amidst several beautiful waterways, including Arm River to the north, Qu’Appelle River to the south, Last Mountain (Long) Lake to the northeast and Buffalo Pound Lake to the southwest.

Today, Bethune offers many modern amenities, including an elementary and pre-school, grocery store, bank, post office, museum, library, community hall, hockey/skating rink, curling rink, hair salons, 24-hour fitness center, massage therapist, fire department and more. In 2023/24 the construction of a new 36 space daycare will commence to serve Bethune and the surrounding community.

This thriving community is growing quickly thanks, in large part, to its close proximity to a variety of successful businesses and cutting edge facilities, including for example K+S Potash Canada.
